Terms of Service
This update adds the Bail Bond & Small Office and Personal plans (sections 1, 2, 3, 4A and 5A). For law-firm subscriptions the terms are the same in substance as the September 17 update (v3 as published): the previous terms remain applicable to existing subscriptions until October 1, 2026, or 14 days after notice reaches you if later.
1. The service
DocketSync Online ("the Service") matches the cases you track against court calendar data that Basha Holdings LLC licenses from a North Carolina data provider, and presents the results in a web application, email digests, downloadable reports, print sheets, calendar feeds, and connections you enable. The Service is offered on three plans:
- Law firm: to law firms and legal professionals for use in their own practice. Cases are added by case number.
- Bail Bond & Small Office: to bail bond agents and small offices tracking the court dates of up to 50 people they work with. People are added by name and date of birth.
- Personal: to an individual tracking the court dates of one person. The person is found by name and date of birth.
2. Accounts
- The person who signs up ("the Owner") must be authorized to bind the firm or business ("you") to these Terms and to pay for the Service. On the Personal plan, "you" means the individual who signs up. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- Sign-in is by one-time email link. You are responsible for who has access to the email addresses you attach to the account, for keeping those addresses current, and for removing people who leave.
- You must give accurate account and contact information and keep it up to date.
3. Trial, fees and cancellation
- Pricing is shown at sign-up and on your Account page. Law firm: a monthly firm account fee plus a monthly fee per attorney seat. Bail Bond & Small Office: $49.99 per month for up to 50 tracked people. Personal: $7.99 per month for one tracked person. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice by email; changes apply from your next billing period.
- New Law firm and Bail Bond & Small Office subscriptions receive a 30-day free trial; new Personal subscriptions receive a 3-day free trial. A payment card is required to start the trial. The first charge is made when the trial ends unless you cancel first.
- One free trial per card on the Personal and Bail Bond & Small Office plans: if the card was already used for a free trial of either plan, the trial ends when checkout finishes and the card is charged the monthly price.
- Subscriptions renew monthly and are billed in advance through Stripe. Seat changes are prorated within the month.
- You may cancel at any time from your Account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; there are no refunds for partial months. Cancelling during the trial means you are never charged.
- If a payment fails we will retry it and email you. Access may be suspended while a payment is outstanding and ended if it stays unpaid.
- Case, attorney and people limits are part of your plan. On the Law firm plan, adding more than your plan allows requires an additional seat.
4. Court calendar data and disclosures
DocketSync tracks the calendar information in the latest successfully processed extract and shows its update date. Coverage, source delays, and calendar refresh schedules can affect what appears. All-day entries do not establish an appearance time, and firm-entered agreed dates do not change a court setting. Your firm remains responsible for managing appearances, deadlines, and professional obligations.
A case shown as “no longer present in latest calendar extract - verify manually” is no longer listed in that extract. This does not establish dismissal, disposition, closure, or cancellation of an appearance. Where data is delayed, conflicting, or incomplete, confirm the relevant details with the court.
The Court Data & Disclosures page explains these limitations and forms part of these Terms. The prescribed notice is reproduced here:
Basha Holdings LLC is not affiliated with the judicial branch of the State of North Carolina or with the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts (the NCAOC) and cannot provide a certified or other official record of any court proceeding. Basha Holdings LLC is solely responsible for the content of this report. Questions or concerns about any content must be directed to Basha Holdings LLC.
The official custodian of all official court records for each county in North Carolina is the clerk of superior court of that county. The NCAOC is not the official custodian of any case record and provides only copies of data entered by the clerks. Data provided through this service may not reflect pending or post-disposition activity on a case. The NCAOC does not warrant the accuracy of the data. To verify a record's accuracy or to obtain an official copy of a record of any court proceeding, contact the clerk of the county of record.
4A. Tracking people by name and date of birth (Personal and Bail Bond & Small Office plans)
- You enter a first name, last name and date of birth. DocketSync tracks every case on the court calendar with the same date of birth and the same first and last name (middle names are ignored), checks again each business morning, and adds new cases the morning they first appear on the calendar. Criminal and infraction (traffic) cases are included.
- Court records with the same date of birth and a close spelling of the name are shown for you to confirm or dismiss. They are tracked only if you confirm them.
- Matching can miss a case, for example when the court record uses a nickname or a different spelling, and can include a case of a different person with the same name and date of birth. Check the cases shown and tell us about mistakes.
- On the Personal plan, set-up allows three searches before you confirm the person. After you confirm, the name and date of birth cannot be changed; contact support if they are wrong. On the Bail Bond & Small Office plan, a person's name and date of birth cannot be edited: remove the person and add them again. People you add count toward your plan's daily and 30-day limits, including people you later remove.
- A court date that is no longer on the calendar does not mean the case was dismissed. Contact your attorney or the clerk of court in the county where the case is filed.
- You are responsible for appearing in court whenever you are required to, whether or not DocketSync shows a date or sends a notice. DocketSync does not give legal advice and is not a substitute for an attorney.
5. Your responsibilities (Law firm plan)
On the Law firm plan, you agree that your firm and everyone you give access to will:
- use the Service only for the firm's own legitimate law-practice purposes, tracking cases in which the firm is involved or has a professional interest;
- not remove, hide or alter the disclaimers that appear in the Service and in its reports;
- not describe or represent any court or the Administrative Office of the Courts as your direct data source, and not use their names or seals to suggest affiliation or endorsement; retain the references contained in the required disclaimer;
- not restrict or penalize a recipient for identifying Basha Holdings LLC / DocketSync as its data source to the data provider, and cooperate with any such inquiry;
- not redistribute, resell, publish or share bulk data from the Service outside your firm, and not use automated means to extract data from it except through integrations expressly provided or authorized by DocketSync or as specifically allowed by your subscription terms;
- not use scripts, bots, scrapers, or other automated tools except through integrations expressly provided or authorized by DocketSync. You must not enumerate or guess case numbers to look up cases the firm does not represent, or circumvent or exceed usage limits, including through an authorized integration; we may suspend or terminate accounts that do, and may notify the data provider as our agreement with it requires;
- notify us promptly at support@opspilot.to about any suspected inaccuracy in the data or any suspected unauthorized access to your account;
- not use the Service to harass, stalk, or locate any individual, and comply with all laws and rules of professional conduct that apply to you.
5A. Your responsibilities (Personal and Bail Bond & Small Office plans)
On these plans, you and everyone you give access to will:
- on the Personal plan, track only your own cases; your child's cases if the child is under 18 and you are the child's parent or legal guardian; or another adult's cases only with that person's permission;
- on the Bail Bond & Small Office plan, track only people you have bonded or otherwise work with, and not use the Service to screen people or to decide whether to write a bond;
- not use the Service to decide anyone's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing, or a bond. DocketSync is not a consumer reporting agency, and its information is not a consumer report;
- not remove, hide or alter the disclaimers that appear in the Service and in its reports, and not describe or represent any court or the Administrative Office of the Courts as your direct data source or use their names or seals to suggest affiliation or endorsement;
- not redistribute, resell, publish or share bulk data from the Service, and not use scripts, bots, scrapers, or other automated tools except through integrations expressly provided or authorized by DocketSync. You must not enter names and dates of birth of people you have no reason to track, or try to get around the search and people limits; we may suspend or terminate accounts that do, and may notify the data provider as our agreement with it requires;
- notify us promptly at support@opspilot.to about any suspected inaccuracy in the data or any suspected unauthorized access to your account;
- not use the Service to harass or stalk anyone, or to locate anyone for an unlawful purpose, and comply with all laws that apply to you.
Calendar sharing you enable
When you enable an integration, you authorize DocketSync to transmit the information described in the Privacy Policy to your selected destination. You are responsible for choosing authorized recipients, protecting private feed links, and reviewing destination sharing settings. Our supported integrations are permitted automation; they do not authorize bulk resale or redistribution. Removing a connection stops future synchronization after processing, but previously delivered or copied information may remain with its recipients.
6. Our responsibilities
- We keep your case list and the people you track private to your account and do not share them with other customers or sell them.
- We refresh calendar data each business day when our data provider makes it available, and show you the date and time of the data you are looking at.
- We keep records of what the Service showed, to answer questions about a report later, and we log access to your account.
- We may suspend or change parts of the Service for maintenance, security, or if our data license requires it. We will tell you when we can.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, if payment is not made, if required by law or by our data license, or if we discontinue the Service (with at least 30 days' notice where possible). You may end your subscription at any time as described in section 3. Cancellation ends the subscription; it does not automatically erase account history or copies already delivered to your systems. Retention and deletion requests are described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service and all data in it are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing in the Service is legal advice.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Basha Holdings LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any missed court date, deadline, sanction, malpractice claim, lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service or reliance on its data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms. The version you accepted at sign-up is recorded on your account.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Nash County, North Carolina.
