Court Data & Disclosures
DocketSync brings your tracked cases into one calendar, highlights changes between updates, and prepares the lists your team uses each day.
Understanding your calendar
- Update date: the displayed extract date identifies the calendar data used. Updates depend on source availability and successful processing. If an update is delayed, the app labels older data as stale.
- Coverage: the service tracks North Carolina criminal and infraction calendar information. A case without a scheduled hearing may not appear. Calendar data does not establish a final disposition.
- Changes: a moved marker identifies a change between calendar updates. “No longer present in latest calendar extract - verify manually” means a hearing is no longer listed; it does not establish dismissal, closure, or that an appearance is no longer required.
- Times: calendar connections use all-day entries. AM/PM session labels do not specify an exact appearance time.
- Tracking by name and date of birth (Personal and Bail Bond & Small Office plans): cases are matched on the exact date of birth and the first and last name as they appear on the court calendar; middle names are ignored. Matching can miss a case recorded under a nickname or a different spelling, and can include a case of a different person with the same name and date of birth. Records with a close spelling are shown only for you to confirm. On these plans, a hearing that is no longer listed is also marked: this does not mean the case was dismissed; contact your attorney or the clerk of court in the county where the case is filed.
- Agreed dates: dates and notes entered by your firm are annotations. They do not replace the court-calendar date.
- Connected calendars: updates flow out of DocketSync. Calendar applications refresh on their own schedules, and delivery may be delayed. Changes made in another calendar do not change the court data in DocketSync.
If an update is delayed, information conflicts, or an appearance is time-sensitive, confirm the relevant details with the court. Report suspected inaccuracies to support@opspilot.to.
